WOW (Women of Wisdom) is a group of dedicated women learning how to live out our faith by following Jesus the Christ. We are open to all women who seek to be a light through their gifts and graces.

How did WOW come about?

My name is Mary Hollan, the Director of WOW. I grew up going to church and hearing the message so many believers probably hear. A message on what to believe not how to believe. While living in Kansas City, Missouri, I attended a church that included in their mission statement, “we are a disciple training headquarters”. These words so empowered me! Finally, a message on how to believe. Tools to help unlock a deeper connection with the Divine and hands on experiences. That philosophy inspired me to create a space for women to share their experiences in knowing our Creator, living a whole life and supporting each other’s stories.
What We Do
WOW discusses emotional, spiritual and societal issues that pertain to women in particular and how to respond in this culture with the teachings Jesus gave us. We provide techniques through discussion topics to cultivate the power of kindness not just toward others, but toward ourselves as well.

During the past eight years WOW has developed a group of approximately 70 women including our Leadership Board, all with the same goal: grow spiritually and be transformed! With a leadership board of four women, we host yearly retreats, monthly zoom discussions and in person themed luncheons. More events continue to be imagined.
